Ronisha is a certified psychiatric physician associate licensed in multiple states, including Illinois. Ronisha earned her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma City University and her graduate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She has more than a decade of experience working with psychiatric and neurological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has been certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and holds a specialty certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in psychiatry. Ronisha treats adults and adolescents for psychiatric conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, OCD, etc. She has experience with medication management, holistic care and issues related to women’s health, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities and feels compelled to help people facing various life transitions. She believes that patients should be included in the decisions about their care so patients should expect to be asked hard questions, encouraged to do difficult work and be overall engaged with the formation of treatment plans. Ronisha works hard to empathize with patients, listen, and learn about patients’ struggles and lifestyles, and just meet them where they are.
