Whether you are continuing or beginning therapy, I look forward to collaborating with you on your treatment plan and path moving forward. I strive to listen and support you in whatever areas you may need, and always come from a place of understanding and support. My goal is to assist in providing knowledge, coping mechanisms, skills, and a safe environment free of judgment to aid in your therapeutic journey to become the best version of yourself.
Throughout my life I have always had a passion to help others . During my time within the psychology field I have worked with a large variety of individuals. I have experience in working with adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders, substance use and compulsive disorders. My approach to therapy involves incorporating methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, such as emotion regulation, mindfulness, recognizing behavior patterns, motivational interviewing, self-acceptance, and creating healthier coping mechanisms to reach your goals. I hope to encourage you and collaborate with you in reaching your full potential.
I have received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During my time in graduate school I concentrated on addictions, while also focusing on grief and trauma counseling, amongst other areas of specialty. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University where I majored in psychology with a minor in counseling. Over the past several years I have held various positions within the field, including mental health counselor at Swedish Hospital, recovery counselor at Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare, and completed my internship as a substance abuse counselor at Gateway Foundation.
