I strive to create a supportive and compassionate environment by focusing on each patient's well-being and assisting them on their mental health journey. With a deep understanding of the complex interplay between mental health and overall well-being, I am committed to providing comprehensive care to individuals in need. Psychiatry is a unique field of medicine that takes an intricate approach to patient care, considering biological, psychological, and social factors that can all contribute to mental health challenges. Seeking help can be difficult for various reasons; however, prioritizing your mental and physical well-being is crucial. Reaching out for help creates opportunities to work towards an improved quality of life, emotional well-being, and overall functioning.
During our patient encounters, I will foster a safe and empathetic environment, actively listening to your concerns, and tailoring treatment plans to your unique needs and goals. My aim is to provide longitudinal care by building lasting relationships with my patients and assisting them through various stages of their mental health journey. Psychiatry plays a crucial role in challenging and reducing the stigma associated with mental health by advocating and practicing evidence-based care. Through this, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate space for each patient.
Through my training, I have gained expertise in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders and collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans. I am a nationally certified physician assistant and received my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. I have experience and medical training in several specialties, including psychiatry, family medicine, addiction medicine, and internal medicine, with clinical interests in various areas such as ADHD/ADD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, dementia, eating disorders, mood disorders, substance use, and PTSD.
