I have always loved helping people and have naturally gravitated towards a helping profession. I approach my sessions by getting to know my clients for the person that they are. A person is more than their diagnosis. I always strive to apply a person's values to treatment in our sessions. You will often hear me ask, "What do you need right now and what is important to you for our session?" I want to help my clients find their narrative without rewriting their identity.
I graduated in 2016 from DePaul with a Master of Education in counseling. I have had experience working in a private practice, outpatient psychiatric clinic as well as providing crisis counseling in hospitals. I have worked with adolescents, young adults as well as senior citizens. I have provided therapy to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and personality disorders. I mostly utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing in my sessions. Most importantly, I construct every single session into what my client needs.
