Many people seek therapy during moments when life feels stuck—when familiar coping strategies no longer work, emotions feel overwhelming, or repeated challenges begin to take a toll. Choosing therapy can feel uncertain at first, especially if it was not something originally planned. Counseling is offered as a space where clients can slow down, be heard without judgment, and begin healing the parts of themselves that may feel exhausted, disconnected, or overwhelmed.
As a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2023, when working with me, therapy is grounded in the belief that healing happens through a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. Sessions are designed to support authenticity, emotional safety, and self-exploration, allowing clients to show up as they are while working toward who they want to become. A client-centered approach is combined with liberation-focused therapy, emphasizing validation, empowerment, and respect for each client’s lived experiences and identity.
